With my husband Mikey Enright owning a distillery, making Gin & Whisky, and several bars, we would never go anywhere without a visit to the local distilleries, so Freya Enright will always have this covered for you.

EVANDALE CLARENDON ARMS

Near Launceston, located in historic Evandale, Tasmania! With a passion for using local and quality suppliers, the menu reflects the wonderful seasonal produce.

A spacious bar and intimate dining area, either a private room or in the restaurant, is made cosy with all the ornate decor collected to make a unique pub.

There is an outdoor beer garden and live music on Sunday. The roast is delicious.

We went to this stunning country pub as it had been on my husband, Mikey Enright's list to go to, who always sought great places to eat and bars to drink after being in the industry for 30 years and with his distillery and bars.

I created this site to share Mikey’s Enright’s knowledge and others that will be involved too, both in the hospitality industry or experts in their industry.

With his wealth of knowledge of where to eat & drink, and for finding new places, and my knowledge in finding unique places to stay, with an eye for design, style and fashion. I pulled all this unique knowledge into one place for you.

MARINE OYSTER FARM

The Freycinet Marine Farm harvests oysters and mussels from their farm and sources all other seafood produce from local fishermen supporting local small businesses.

We are cultivating and maintaining a community.

The Freycinet Marine Farm was purchased in 2005 with one goal to showcase Tasmania seafood produce to the world, and I can taste it; being a fly fisherwoman and partial to seafood, having caught my living from the land when living around the world, in Mexico, Africa specifically. They certainly got my approval, and I know they’ll have yours.

FROGMORE CREEK

Wine cellar door & restaurant.

Frogmore restaurant is a must for anyone who is a food lover and appreciates high-quality, sustainable produce.

The restaurant creates an ambience of a rich experience, rustic and raw, with its high ceiling, timber walls and barrels to remind you that you are sitting amongst the vines.

It’s about the food and why I add specific places to my list for the culinary experience. The reason it’s a cut above the rest is what I look for every time I source a place to visit and eat in. It’s about the product that is used; there is no one specific model that everyone ought to follow; it’s about making it your slow and sustainable style that sets you apart from other venues, here at Frogmore Creek sources fresh and local produce that is seasonal to create each delicious dish to for a modern cuisine delivered at Frogmore Creek.

In Hobart, they also have The Lounge Restaurant on the waterfront of Kings Wharf in the MAC01, building another sophisticated food experience.

LANDSCAPE ATTACHED TO HENRY DEANES

Landscape Restaurant attached to Henry Deanes Hotel is a real treat, set amongst the artwork of English Painter John Glover. Both the food and wine are delicious. Landscape Restaurant & Grill creates unforgettable dining experiences in the heart of Hobart’s Hunter Street waterfront precinct. Our love for the exquisite produce of our island home has inspired our goal: to push the benchmark for premium dining in Tasmania constantly.

DUNALLEY FISH MARKET

The best fish and chips and a must-visit when en route to or from Port Arthur.

Don’t be fooled by the name. It’s not a fish market. It simply serves fish and chips in an old-fashioned way in a newspaper. I think that’s also half of the experience. It takes you back in time. No frills, just great fish and chips.

This is by no means a fine dining experience. You’re going for the freshly caught fish locally, and I loved the experience of just back to basics. Not to be missed.

THE LOUNGE By FROGMORE CREEK

The Lounge is bought for you by Frogmore Creek, one we mentioned earlier, although this is located in Hobart.

With sweeping views of the waterfront, which are begging to be on your gram, from Frogmore Creek, the wine list is sublime, and you’re in for a treat with the delicious options on the menu.
