ECO-LODGE

On the East Coast of Tasmania sits Freycinet lodge a spectacular Eco-lodge not to be mistaken with Sapphire Freycinet a very different offering. Amongst a remote forest setting just inside Freycinet National Park.

We stayed here, and we decided from our previous destination to get a helicopter that would take us from the Pumphouse, to Frogmore for lunch then onto Freycinet.

What a way to travel, if you can do this I highly recommend it. We were not sure if we should, it’s not something to even question. Greg is fantastic and wow do you feel like a rockstar.

It is a wonderful way to either enter or leave, to truly see the beauty of the East Coast, and see what Freycinet National Park has to offer from the best seat in the house. Instagrammable moments and photo opportunities to take in.

What I love here!

Situated on Oyster bay once more you are taking in Tasmania’s endless beauty untouched nature as far as the eye can see. Sunsets, hikes on the doorstep, the resplended wineglass bay that we got to experience in a whole different way by flying in via a helicopter. I highly recommend you doing this it was a truly stand out moment seeing the beauty of Tassie’s terrain from above. There is so much on offer, fly fishing if that take’s your fancy to name a few of the activities, being a fly fisher woman myself this place is where you should come.
This is a family friendly option to take note of incase you are looking purely for peace and quiet although we didn’t find it a problem.
The lodge like all those we feature has been designed to blend in to nature which is what Tasmania has going for it, the interior design and architecture is stylish. Conscious Luxury| Design.

There are eight different options for accommodation to suit every budget and for those with family or on your own.
The stylish accommodation in Freycinet National Park overlooking Oyster bay immediately creates a sense of calm. It has a beautiful bay to look at and the mountains behind it. It was beautiful. As we walked up to this curved designed building, we walked in to find an intriguing designed space. Creative and beautiful colour palette. Walking around, they had made full use of the area, separating the living area to your bedroom whilst fitting a door in between to head out onto the balcony with one of the best outdoor baths you can get!
Immersed in nature, it creates an immediate sense of calm to become conscious about relaxing and allowing yourself to enjoy your surroundings and the luxurious eco-lodges that have been so mindfully created. It is this that we search for now for places to stay, conscious luxury, that consider sustainability.

Freycinet National Park

Freycinet Wineglass Walking tour.

One of Australia's most famous and recognisable beaches. We walked to Wine Glass Bay, which has beautiful scenery and is not challenging; you don’t have to be fit for this one. The area has many hikes, boat trips, and cycling options. You can do this on your own easily. Enjoy climbing to the Wineglass Bay lookout, walking on the beach, or exploring further.

Wineglass bay cruises

A wineglass bay cruise offers alternative options for those who prefer to relax. We chose the walk, and I’d recommend this if you can.

Wine tours

There are so many to choose from in Tasmania, and this area is equally delicious. We can certainly recommend our top favourite here.

Kayaking

Although many there enjoyed the experience, we didn't do this, so if this sounds like your adventure, we can get this organised.

Freycinet Marine Farm

Oyster Farm, grab some delicious seafood here, and either eat in or take away and find a spot to take in the spectacular views.

Freycinet Lodge

Enjoy a wine or sundowner at Freycinet Lodge; the bartender is fabulous and has a great laugh, so make sure you enjoy a moment with them before heading outside to watch the colours of sunset you could never think of.

Friendly Beaches.

Explore the gorgeous beaches surrounding the area; friendly beaches is must see. The Friendly Beaches (20 minutes drive from Freycinet Lodge) form part of Freycinet National Park and are 9km of pristine beaches and the whitest sand I have ever seen. Fishing and surfing are popular pastimes.
